The Hand of Vitality

If you can’t explain something simply enough, then you simply don’t know it enough. It’s because of this principle that I’ve developed the Hand of Vitality, an analogy for well-being that presents its different elements in a straightforward way.

Today, I share the Hand of Vitality with you. I talk about why your hand is a symbol of the interconnectedness of your different elements: emotion, body, spirit, and mind. I share which finger stands for which and explain how each finger’s digits represent different aspects of that element. I explain why your thumb symbolises the need for self-care. I note the importance of a healthy environment, point out that your energy is not static, and define the intention gap.

“Your fingerprint is an opportunity to appreciate just how unique and special you are.”
– Dr Mark Rowe
